Absolutely. Scaled CrossFit is designed exactly for people starting out or returning to training after time away. Every movement can be modified—we're not expecting you to do what you see on Instagram. Our classes teach proper form first, then add intensity when you're ready.

Classes are ongoing group sessions where you work through a full workout (WOD—workout of the day) with scaling built in. Workshops are focused, single-topic sessions (like learning proper squat mechanics or kettlebell technique) where we slow down and really drill one movement pattern.

Most people see noticeable changes—better strength, more energy, improved movement quality—within 4 to 6 weeks of training 2-3 times per week. Consistency matters more than intensity. We recommend finding a schedule that fits your life and sticking with it.

All our group classes and workshops provide the equipment you need—barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, and everything else. If you want to train at home between sessions, a kettlebell is a great single investment, but it's not required to participate.

Let your coach know before class or during the intro workshop. We modify movements around real limitations and can often find ways to work around pain or mobility restrictions. Most functional movements have 3-4 scaling options—your job is just to show up and work within what your body can do today.

WOD challenges are monthly or seasonal events where you complete a set workout (same one everyone does) and compare results with other participants in your age group. It's friendly competition—the goal is testing yourself against the workout and the community, not beating someone else. Everyone finishes, and everyone gets celebrated.
